Team & Talent Strategy
I believe the strength of our execution starts with the strength of the team I build. That’s why I am personally committed to hiring top-tier talent who meet the highest professional standards and align with Banan’s vision.
I lead a structured, multi-step recruitment process designed to secure the right people. Every candidate goes through a direct interview with me to assess both their professional skills and their cultural fit. I work with clear, role-specific requirements to ensure consistent hiring quality.
Beyond hiring, we will invest in onboarding and team alignment. Every employee is immersed in the Banan philosophy, with regular training to strengthen their connection to our mission and customer experience standards.
My goal is to build a team that’s not only highly capable but also fully engaged and in love with what we are doing. I believe passion is one of the core qualities we look for in our people.

Customer Support Academy
To ensure scalable, high-quality customer service, I plan to launch an internal Support Academy. This training program will prepare all customer-facing team members to handle real-life service scenarios with confidence and professionalism.
The 4–6 week program will help us scale the team quickly without compromising on quality, embedding a customer-first culture from the start.
NDA Policy
To protect our product development and maintain our competitive edge, all employees, contractors, and partners will sign strict Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) covering upcoming collections, internal processes, and strategic plans.
This policy keeps all releases confidential until launch, helping us control market timing, protect our IP, and maximize marketing impact.
Why We Chose Romania
I conducted a strategic evaluation of multiple EU countries, aiming to identify the best combination of cost-efficiency, market access, and scalability.
Romania clearly stood out as the most balanced and strategic choice, offering the operational, financial, and logistical advantages we need to build and scale Banan as a competitive European brand.

Key Advantages of Romania
Romania offers a uniquely balanced set of advantages that make it an ideal base for our operations. Its low labor and operating costs, compared to Western Europe, help us minimize fixed expenses in the early stages while maintaining financial flexibility. The microenterprise tax system allows us to benefit from low revenue-based taxes during the startup phase, with a clear transition path to the standard 16% corporate tax as we scale. (For more details, see the Financial and Tax Strategy section section below.)
In addition to financial benefits, Romania’s logistical infrastructure, supported by global carriers such as DHL, enables us to serve the entire European market with competitive shipping rates and delivery times. This positions Romania as a strong operational hub for both European and international markets.
Moreover, Romania provides access to a scalable and cost-effective talent pool, allowing us to build a high-performing team without the cost pressures of Western Europe.
In summary, Romania gives us the flexibility to scale efficiently, maintain operational cost control, and leverage direct access to the European market.
While Romania is our preferred base, we remain open to exploring alternatives if investors see stronger strategic options.
Bucharest Operations Hub
With Romania as our strategic base, we plan to establish our first combined office and warehouse in Bucharest to anchor our launch operations and fulfillment. This location will provide an affordable, EU-based hub for managing operations, order fulfillment, and customer service during the initial launch phase.
The 85–90 m² space will cover all key functions:
- Office space for up to 8 team members.
- Meeting and creative zone for product development.
- Warehouse capacity for 2,000–3,000 items with a dedicated packing station.
Cost Estimates
We expect monthly operating costs (rent, utilities, basic services) to range between €1,500 and €2,500, depending on the final location and service agreements.
